About OneTel One.Tel caters to the wireless phone industry with a host of cordless phones and answering machines. This Australian-based company was established by Jodee Rich and Brad Keeling and in turn acquired by The Carphone Warehouse Group A major player in the integrated communications service provider arena, One.Tel supplies over 1.7 million fixed, mobile and internet services to residential and business consumers. It has helped to bring significant changes to the market, going one better for customers through product and service innovation, regulatory change and dynamic marketing The company's slogan was "You'll tell your friends about One.Tel", to draw the connection between the brand and personal communication. The company also had a mascot known as "The Dude". The Dude was a cartoon-like depiction of a rather stupid man in his early twenties. His main role was to inform the public in television and print advertisements that even a stupid and lazy person such as himself could get a mobile telephone with One.Tel. The cartoonist responsible for drawing The Dude and many other of the company's graphic devices was also employed to paint large murals upon the garishly-painted walls of the company's offices all around the world. Internally, the company had a fondness for applying the One.- prefix to everything relating to the business: One.Dude, One.Team, etc
