Average Customer Review:   Customers Reviews Good range for keeping an eye on the kids  We bought the Doro WT87 because of the advertsed longer range. Our existing walkie talkies (Oregon Scientific TP-329) do not work well with the hilly and wooded terrain around our house. The Doro does have a much better range and is usable for what we need, i.e. to give to the kids so they can explore the countryside but still be in touch. Don't expect miracles, but performance was noticeably better. Other than that they have all the usual features and are small and lightweight. A nice feature is the ability to lock all the menu controls, to make sure kids fingers/curiosity do not change channel part waythrough their adventure. The 5th star is reserved for any walkie talkie that has an ever better range. see all reviews » |
