We use 6 radios in our yard, that enable us to communicate clearly with eachother, and as it is an open frequency all users hear the transmissions and therefore are aware of what is going on. As the radios do not cost very much we can replace them readily when the lads lose, break or hide them. A useful and cheap addition to the business.

Range given on actual product box less than that advertised but this may be due to terrain, in any case they suit our immediate needs but would have preferred the longer range. Actually purchased for our daughter to keep in contact whilst she is out playing. So basically so easy to use a child can use it! We are aware other people can use the frequency but because the unit has 8 channels this is no problem on the few occasions this has happened. The slate grey colour is practical and the units are lightweight, the durable plastic appears to be hardwearing certainly can withstand a few knocks. The best feature with this unit we've found so far is the 'ring/calling' button. I know its my daughter calling me and vice versa. When you are trying something for the first time you are not sure if you have chosen the right product. In this case, no regrets just what we wanted.

Works great for such a small device. Very compact and durable, a great entry level 2way radio and for the price unbeatable. However, the ligo product description boasts a 'five kilometre range' the product manual disagrees offering a (and I quote) 'maximum of 3 kilometres'. It was slightly disappointing on this front as I was expecting the 5km range.

Runs on 3 AAA batteries and they seem to last even with heavy use. This is a twin pack of radios - it does not seem to say this in the product description although it does with similar twin pack products so this was a point of confusion I feel.
