Good points
really easy to setup and use. good sound quality.
Bad points poor ringtones Other thoughts These are very good phones easy to use, just press the call button briefly for default connection call and press for few secs for other connection call. I setup a voip provider not on the auto setup list and it was still easy to do, also setup call plans, the web interface is makes things really easy. The downside to these phones are the ringtones they are boring but that is it. i would highly recommend these to anyone.

VoIP Phone of the future
Mr John Elvidge
I had this phone delivered about a week ago and I have found it to be well worth the £80 price tag. Its easy to use and in a week I know just about every function on the phone. I find the email setting really useful as it means I don't have to have the computer on to check for new emails. The sound quality is very good on both lines (VoIP & Landline). The only thing that took time was configuring my VoIP account, as it was not on the pre-sets for the phone, (it took about two hours of work to find my settings in relation to the Gigaset). However, I'm very happy in all with the phone and would highly recommend the Gigaset C475 IP DECT VoIP. I found the reception of the phone from the base station to be very good. I've used mine outside in the back garden with the base station at the front off the house and I had no problems with reception even with the EGO mode turn on, which can save you up to 60% energy usage. Battery life is also very good with about 6 days standby time and about 4 hours talk time from a full charge.

Good points
All-in-One landline + VoIP + Answering Machine that's well designed with good functionality and expanability. It's currently the best system on the market from a respected manufacturer.
Bad points Instructions, although comprehensive, didn't include the 'auto-setup' configuration details on line for my VoIP provider - DrayTEL UK - and Siemens technical support were of no use in assisting; merely repeating the generic advice as per the user guide. However, DrayTEL did kindly provided the necessary settings and after two days I could connect to my VoIP phone system. Other thoughts My neighbour was so impressed she bought a C475IP trio and setup an account with DrayTEL - she's totally delighted! We both purchased from liGo who are brilliant to deal with: their Internet ordering and speed of response is second to none, and their staff really helpful if you need to call them :o)

Excellent products,Questionable Siemens Support
Anonymous
The phone is great.Simple, straight forward, excellent voice quality. There is a major bug in the Web configuration interface.the button to SAVE setting on the info services page just IS NOT THERE.It took me several emails to even get Siemens support to give me a response relating to my question.Giving them VERY specific details about the problem they bombarded me with unrelated questions. The problem is a simple HTML error that can be fixed in the next firmware. So far they have not confirmed they even understand what the problem is.So,untill they do not fix it you can not use the CLOCK screen saver on the handset as it is taken over by the info services.

Brilliant phone.Only gripe is there are not enough voip providers that siemans provides for downloading. Just a tip for anyone setting up. if you use sms discount or voip cheap put your username and password in the setup box and download from Siemans voipstunt for the voip settings and both will work ok.only they will not work if you use the provided voip settings on there site. If you use vyke. as above put your username and password in for that provider but download the settings for voip Buster from Siemans for Vyke to work. As you can see the phone needs a little tweaking but once done works really well and the quality is better than your local landline.

Excellent IP Phone
Mr. Edward Macfarlane Smith
I've been really pleased with this phone so far, it was quite simple to set up. I've got two different services set up on it and it's easy to select which one you want to dial out with when not using the default. Being able to just glance at it to see a weather forecast for the next couple of days is quite a nice feature.

Almost perfect VoIP phone
Pete.
I've had this phone for a couple of weeks now, and I'm pretty impressed. I've been using Skype on a Mac for a couple of years now, and expected call quality to be similar, but it's much better. The calls are pretty clear (maybe slightly more muffled than the old landline phone), and there's no delay or echo.

Good points
Nice handset, ability to transmit address book to other Gigaset handsets, good reception.
Bad points Limited ringtones. A little complicated to get to grips with (but not very). Other thoughts Had the handset for 2 weeks, and seems to do the job very well.

Great VOIP phone, very clear
Anonymous
Easy to set up on VOIP calls, very clear for both fixed line and VOIP calls, good array of features. Very happy with the purchase. The only minor negative is the lack of choice for decent phone ring tones, although not a big issue.

Good points
Very easy to setup, works a dream on both VOIP and landline with simple selection of either service. One of the things on which I based my purchasing decision was the fact that range was clearly stated and it lives up to the promise.
Bad points Would like to set the weather forecast to read my location all the time but cannot find the necessary info on the CD.
